Rocks from the Sky?

Sooo, I invited Lamrith (Larry) out to my ranch yesterday to shoot some arrows, do some calling practice, chrono how fast an arrow my new Darton shoots (he has the chrono, grin), look at an old metal fixed tree stand I have, do some map work, go over some logistics for the pending SEP Gem State hunt, etc. (an afternoon of elk hunting prep things How does he repay me?...... by perpetuating a very large rock drop on my melon! I think he purposely used the wrong pin and plugged an arrow into the wood frame of the target holder . After retrieving some screwdrivers, electric drill, and pry bar to retrieve the errant arrow.... we tugged and pulled, until the target frame "tipped" in our general direction, rolling a very large rock that had been previously on top of the target frame (holding down several black plastic sacks to protect the frame over the long WA winter) on to my waiting head (a good 5-6 pounder)! Ya, he caught a big ol' rock on shoulder also but he's much younger and tougher than me so no big deal...I however, have a goose egg on my head. Not sure, but I think Lamrith was trying to maim me before this SEP so he can Bogart in on my best, favorite hunting spots. Geesh, it's hard to find good hunting friends

*I had to recreate this thread as I deleted it by mistake last night trying to edit it. Perhaps Lamrith's plan is working, I'm not thinking very clear since the rock incident .

With the box of rocks he has upstairs I think so! I was just trying to add to his pile, talk about ungrateful....

Might need a shovel to fix the crater he makes fallout of the stand headfirst, or leave it there and might be a nice wallow by next season...

I like it. No heavy thinking on a hunt, just something useful.
