Well, kind of new. Mr. Erickson has been with us for many, many years going way back in to the Elknut Forum years. He has consistently shown to be loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, brave... sorry, wrong creed ;). Swede spends almost as much time at our hunting campfire as I do, and, is as genuinely interested in keeping us on a positive track as I am. As always, my goal (carrying it on from the Elknut forum) is to keep our forum informative, as free from diversions as possible, and truly a place where elk hunters both salty and relatively new, can sit around the fire and talk about elk hunting planning, preparation, and ultimately field tactics. I have no doubt Swede will assist with this endeavor as he always has.

Edit: Honestly, I just asked Swede to do this because I truly believe he knows where the Wapiti Talk Leer jet is and I'd like to find it. I haven't seen that damn thing in months and I think he's in cahoots with Indian Summer and Lefty on keeping it hidden from me. Last thing I heard was that it was either between Pennsylvania and Northwest Manitoba, or, somewhere flying high over Pocatello, Idaho... good help is sure hard to find :D

Swede has been a go-to guy since I got involved here. I expect he will take good care of the forum and members as he has all along. Congratulations to our esteemed author-in -residence. Excellent choice.

I must admit I was pleased to be asked if I would be a moderator, but I had a few misgivings too. When you are a moderator aren't you supposed to be the epitome of politeness and decorum? Anyone that knows me, knows that is a much tougher challenge than keeping renegades like Oly, WW, Stringunner and you too cohunter, in line. Still I have appreciated the dedication of the owner and past owner of W.T. to advancing hunting and helping hunters be their personal best. I too share that passion and at the same time want W.T. to be a fun place to visit around the campfire.
The great thing I experience is the fun we have without everyone having to be a clone of a select few gurus. If I happen to disagree with someone on a subject like scent, I will state my case. I hope all of you will too when I say something you do not agree with. After all that is how W.T. will continuously remain the best hunting forum on the internet.
Anyway Thanks RJ for inviting me to be a moderator. And don't worry; I will keep an eye on our resident renegades when you need a few days off. :D
