estrus scents

Hey there guys, I got a question regarding if or which estrus scents you use in mid to late September. I have a few different ones such as the Moccasin Joe gel and the Hunter Specialty wafers. They both smell very different, the mocosin Joe has a nearly chemical like smell while the Hunter Specialty is very musky. I am guessing that just like two cows don't necessarily mew the same, I imagine their urine doesn't smell the same either. But can anyone say that either of those brands are garbage or effective?
If so, how often do you change out the wafers or re-apply scent?

I attach 2 of the Hunter's Specialty wafers' to my pack each morning and I then stick them back in their container with the other scent wafer to rejuvenate them when I get back to camp at night, before then putting them back on my pack the next morning. I am not sure if they have made a difference or not, although I figured that it would be of no harm and if I have a partner with me that is walking behind me, I know for a fact that they enjoy my musky odor. lol

Just my opinion here.

There are no estrus scent products or controls that will hide the human scent after a couple miles of hiking in elk country.

If using estrus scent makes you more confident then it could not hurt.

+1 with mongo. If the elk can smell your wafer they can smell you.

Heres what ya do. Wait til your buddy kills a cow, then just superglue the elk vagina over your mouth. That way when you breathe youll be dispersing an irresistible scent for the bulls. Warning, falling asleep with an elk vagina over your mouth presents an extreme choking hazard!!!!

Or maybe just pay attention to the wind
