Only 4 months and some change. After hearing guys bugling from quads last year i went down and talked to the timber company about closing a certain area off to vehicle access, since theyve been closing their other stuff. It had apparently slipped their minds, they thought that mountain was gated. They said theyll close it to vehicles when they get a chance. Im gonna go bug them again before september. Maybe im a jerk, but oh well. If guys cant drive up there ill have that mountain all to myself.

That was interesting to watch as much as anything. The way he moved, the lip curl, very cool. They look so much bigger and badder in the rut. I love watching elk be elk.
