New WT Sponsor Welcome - Berry Game Calls!

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 03 10, 2016 •  [Post 1]

As you can see, we have another new sponsor. Please join me in welcoming Berry Game Calls. Glen Berry is a former World Champion elk caller and has been in the call making business for a day or two. In fact, I started using Berry diaphragms sometime in the mid 80s and still use them. Again a big Wapiti Talk Hunting Forum welcome to Glen and Berry Game Calls!

Another great sponsor addition RJ!

I am using their Big Bull Double Red reed and Big Bull Sleazy Cow Call reed currently and they work quite well for me.

I hate those darn Thunder Bugles. Every time I have one, the folks I hunt with want ME to do all of the calling, and before they leave, they have talked me out of my thunder bugle. They are just too easy to use and make a great sound with. On my last purchase, I picked up two of them and they were both gone within a year. My recommendation is if you are going to buy a call from Glen Berry, get the diaphragms. Most people, not including my cousin, don't want to get one that is used. I have listened to Glen make a presentation on elk calling a couple of times. No doubt he knows elk. His office staff, aka wife, was always helpful and easy to talk with also.
Ok, welcome to the forum Glen. Join in with us when you can. BTW, if you show up around my camp, bring a couple of spare Thunder Bugles. We will need them.

Welcome. Saw Glen talk elk at Stanley Idaho a few years back, very informative. He definately knows how to work a call!

I had been looking at the Berry Game Calls for awhile, need to get started on my calling. Seeing this thread last night prompted me to order a Thunder Bugle. Welcome to WT Glen! Next on my list: Elknuts Playbook.

I've recommended the Berry Thunder Bugle to folks for years who can't quite get the diaphragm thing down. It is arguably the best sounding internal reed bugle on the market. On some occasions in the past, when I couldn't get a response to my locator bugle using my diaphragm and tube, I've had my hunting buddy step up and throw out a bugle from his Thunder Stick (as I affectionately call it). Those darn Thunder Bugles can really reach out and get distant answers when a diaphragm and tube can't!
