to late for game cameras??

I have a chance to go put out a couple of game cameras this weekend. my hunt starts the following weekend. so i will get 6 or 7 days of pictures if i put them out. is it worth putting them out for that short of a time? i can check them the day/evening before my hunt starts so ill know some ideas of whats out there i think. what do you guys think?

No sir, not too late. May give you a chance to see what's in the country and perhaps pattern them a bit to the spot/spots you put out your cams. I say get em out there mister

One of the cool things about trail cams you get to see animals that are never shot, Or maybe the bull you want to target , or who else is tromping around the area, man or beast

I agree its never too late. I use them all month long, as long as I am in the woods hunting. It is great way to see when a certain area is being used, can really help set up some ambush spots.

let me expound on my question. it appears as if the rain in the forcast has drug out to be 50% or better every day from last saturday until the 7th of Sept. this will cover the first of my hunt. will the elk still be using the water holes since its raining so much or will the cameras on the tanks be a waste of time since they elk will be able to drink from just about anywhere as the rain will puddle up because of so much rain and the ground being saturated?

Like many of said it's never too late to get your cameras out. Even though the elk may be able to find water and some puddles they still frequent the tanks. Think of it as party central a social gathering place

Find an active trail and you can see when the elk are using it. They may or may not be going to the water holes you know of but mostly they stick to some part of their pattern no matter the rain.
