RMEF members?

Just curious how many of us elknuts are RMEF members?

Yes sir. Some of the founding members were from my small town (and vicinity of) in Troy, Montana when I lived there. Been a faithfull member pretty much ever since. What a vision they had!

For over 20 years, if memory serves. Without RMEF there would be fewer elk, less public access to elk hunting, and LESS HABITAT all over this country. Please consider joining if you are not a member. RMEF is superior to most other not-for-profits in spending funds on their mission, not on staff or overhead expenses. Bugle magazine for members is great, also.

Yep sure am, was a Southeast Nebr. committee member and helped with winter banquets , also spent a couple of weekends doing volunteer work with the Game And Parks commission tearing out fence in NW Nebr. til all of a sudden our chapter just fizzled out. Not sure why other than I think some of the major players burned out on it.

I should have added to my first post, I am a life member, local committee member, former chapter chair for the Northern California Chapter, still very involved with RMEF, and I also MC a lot of fund raising dinners for several conservation groups.

I should look into being a member of the RMEF. But after being a committee member for the NWTF and helping raise a bunch of money, a local farmer want to sell his land cheap for public hunting. We asked for money from NWTF to help the Pheasant Forever in buying this land. We got a very very small percentage of what our club raised. Was not very happy with NWTF. But don't get me wrong everyone of this organization help raise money for us hunters. With out them where would we be??? Just saying I have to look into to it. How much is a membership? and is there a banquet in Minnesota?

First of all, yes I am a proud member of RMEF! To answer your questions, membership is $35 per year. There are RMEF banquets all over the state of MN. Where are you located roughly? You can go to the rmef.org website and find a banquet near you. I will be going to the Alexandria banquet in March.

Also, I am a chapter president for Pheasants Forever and PF is also a fantastic organization.

Have been for 10+ years. Signed my middle son (the hunter) up 4 years ago. We are both committee members going into our fourth banquet for the Castle Rock chapter. Good bunch of people.

Have been a member for over 10 years. My kids absolutely love the banquets. Very kid friendly and family oriented they always bring home a prize or 2. Helped out with a volunteer project with the MUCC this year and it was great. Probably the hardest I've ever seen my 10 year old work. We were on the de fencing crew. Good food and fellowship afterward. Even saw some elk tracks in the newly acquired property.
