What Must have item do you need to get before next season?

Going over my gear list and the list from my buddy, and thinking about next year I feel I had just about everything I needed for a successful hunt. However I'd say the one thing that I wish I had was a better map of the area I was hunting. We changed areas literally last minute and I had to go by way of the GPS rather than a Topo map. Next season I will have a detailed Topo map that is laminated and packable.

What are the must have's for next season?

I am getting a new quiver, one that fits between both wheels. man, arrows make a lot of noise hitting the ground while shaking waiting for a shot. I am getting new broadheads, getting gravediggers. they might have helped me bring home my bull this year. went to the bow shop today and got my string untwisted... other than that, getting some more arrows and a hud. heads up decoy.

Kennetrk Narrow Boots & Sitka Stormlight Pants! Both of these top my hit list! I've been using the Crispi boots for the last several years but they just aren't holding up to the rugged terrain type of use they're getting. Time to move on!

New binoculars and a new quiver. My current quiver rattles on the attachment and arrows are difficult to remove with one hand. It's also time to drop some money on some real glass that I can actually see through in low light conditions.

Lost a glove up there...so just ordered a new pair of fleece gloves that I can flip back over my finger tab.

I'm getting one of those low to the ground cots so I can still use it in my Fly Creek UL2...I did not sleep well at all this Season!

I really don't need a new pack, my blue widow works great, but I am very intrigued by the Exo pack. Definetly a Wyoming saw.

Yes, a tag is #1 on my list!

#2 is a good GPS handheld and #3 is a better sleep pad -or- a light cot.

A Kelty pack frame is optional.

Nice Marc, that's a good lookin mule. I know all about how much of a pain in the ass they can be. I grew up with a knucklhead pack string, had my fair share of rodeos and long hikes back to the pickup and trailer to bring them back to camp.

Twinkieman's mules sure saved us from some hard labor on those packouts. Those two girls are some hard workers once they get settled down and lined out.

I did all my shopping at the conclusion of the season why it was on the brain. New pack of muzzy broad heads, new hunting jacket, kelty cache hauler pack and a new dozen arrows just arrived on Friday. I might pick up another game camera to replace the one that quit this season but other than that I'm ready to go for next season.

I need a new place to hunt elk!!

2 years at the same place has led me to believe there are greener pastures. We went with a drop camp the last two years. Had the suspicion that the place was over hunted last year and this year confirmed it. Ended up being a very expensive camping trip this year.

Speaking of livestock... I rolled a packhorse last week. He went legs up twice before stopping. With my Swarovski binos and spotting scope in the panniers. Nothing broke! Yeah they are nothing but fun and all pros/no cons.

Word is I may need a new partner next year. Mine is getting married in May and planning on a baby shortly thereafter.

Definitely boots i'm going with the Kenetrek Desert Guide boots..... Been a danner pronghorn guy for 14 or so years they've been out.... love them just wanna get something a little more comfortable...

new pack probably going with the exo 5500...my squeeky cabelas alaskan guide is going into retirement. plus im sick of having a external frame pack and a separate day pack, the exo will do it all. new vap arrows exodus broadheads, strings, peep. new xped sleeping pad
