mouth reeds?

so i have used single and dual latex reeds..... wich do you like the best? i have tried a triple but didn't like it.

I like doubles for my raspier sounds and singles for younger bulls or spikes. I called in a satellite 5 point last year with a Primos single reed. A few bugles at around 200 yards, then switching over to mixed cow calls, mostly like as if there was a few cows feeding just on the other side of the ridge. Sucked him right in! I've never tried a triple myself. I'm getting more into the mouth reeds myself. The more you can try the better. I would say be like a woman in a shoe store.... Try on every pair(reed)!!

Were they all from the same company? There are a million different feelings you can get by switching. Some reeds I can't even get to work and others are effortless.

I personally stay with the Bull Buster as it is a single reed. You can do any cow calls and bugles you want and they are effortless. No need for triple reeds as they take way more air and tongue pressure to operate.

I am from the opposite side, I use 3.5 reed calls for bugling. I can cow call on them but I prefer a double for cow calling. So I use two calls in the field until I get in tight. Yes they take more air and control but the additional pitches and volume has been extremely helpful through the years.

This is easy,,,,,personal preferance! Go with whatever feels good to you. I use a double, but my friends use single and we all call in BIG ELK!!

I also use mostly double reeds. I have really good control so I can get decent cow sounds on a double, and like Gselkhunter said, and the extra tones and volume is rally handy at times.
I will say this... if you mostly cow call go with a single reed , if you use more bull sounds then I like to use a double or triple reed.
Some guys like to rock a single reed, while not my personal first choice go for it. I make some double reeds that have more backbone and get great tones more volume and still make great cow calls so that is why I am usually rocking a double reed call.
