How man Calories per day do you eat?

Guys for a backpack style hunt where we are going to be traveling quite a bit of country how many calories do you guys recommend a day? I was thinking 3000 a day. I know I'll be burning a lot more than that, but I'm thinking weight to energy ratio. Cam Hanes talks about having at least 100 calories/Oz. so that's looking like almost all most 2lbs of food a day.

I've got plenty of Mtn house meals and trail mixes and jerky's ready any other high calorie ideas?

MRE's and they don't require heating, packed with calories. Not exactly sure how much per each or what the generic ones have. One of the things I look at is the amount of sodium. Too much requires me to have to drink a lot of water. I'm only 155# tho and in good shape so I usually don't require much
