Shot placement question

Just curious where you guys aim on a bull. I just got the latest issue of Bowhunter magazine and Dwight Schuh was talking about his aiming point being well behind the shoulder, as much as 7-8". He says that advice came from Randy Ulmer. I have looked at countless vital diagrams and such and I would really think you want to aim closer to the shoulder. What is your experience with this? Thanks guys

Look at actual bone structure, the shoulder bone is well in front of the leg not straight above it. Randy is a Veterinarian so I am sure he knows anatomy!

Define shoulder?

I would define the shoulder as the scapulohumeral joint. 7-8 inches back of the shoulder joint would be about right straight up the front leg.
