Shot placement longbow vs. compound

I tend to go straight up the front leg 1/3 to 1/2 the way up the body with a compound I will be carrying a longbow quite a bit this year, do I need to move my aim spot back a little.

I would keep the same aim point,as long as you can hit a paper plate size erea.Over the years of shooting longbow,there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Nothing beats carrying a 2 pound longbow(including arrows) thru the mtns.vs. the 10 lb. compound. Killing an elk with the longbow is a huge accomplishment,and I believe the ultimate way to kill a big bull.
The biggest disadvantage that I have found,(and saved a lot of bulls lives) is that when they come straight in, and are staring you down (or looking over the top of you,LOL)at just a few yds. it is extremly difficult to draw back on him,as he sees the first inch or two of movement as you try to draw 70" of longbow! Also, unless he is really,really close,I don't take the frontal shot with my longbow anyway,and hope he keeps moving past me broadside.

I've shot & taken elk with both, I've not changed a thing in my point of impact, a kill shot is a kill shot, hit them where they live!
