Hey guys,

This is my first post. I am the owner of Poison Arrow Gear. It is my turn to say Wow!

Paul's post about my product was stunning. I thought that I had a good idea, but until others agree it is a dead horse. Again I want to thank the Elknut for the great review.

I am just starting this business, so far it my wife and I doing the work. In the basement, garage, ect. If the response is as good as it looks like it will be I will have to get my running shoes on.

I do all of the printing in house so if you want something different I can make it. At the Salt Lake City Outdoor Show one fella wanted a sheep. If you get me a picture I will print it and put it on a decoy.

I came up with the idea after buying a wild rag. I thought that would be a great accessory for hunters. If it were printed in camo it could be used for all kinds of purposes. The next thought was mount it on my bow and have a ready made blind. The nest step, a decoy.

If anyone has questions I will be glad to try and answer them. Also if you see some way I can improve my product I would like to hear form you.

I've been wanting some sort of life sized elk target to shoot at but I don't really want to spend $1400 on a 3d elk target. Check out the website for this sponsor. He has a life sized elk target cover. I will let James explain it in detail but he puts his bag target behind the vitals of the full sized elk picture and shoots at it. I'm getting one of these. If they last one season for me, I could buy one a year for 20 years and spend the same amount as I would on a 3d target.

I am not in production yet. I am waiting on the molds to be made. I do have 150 or so prototypes out of aluminum. If you want one of those let me know. My store is having issues. I am trying to get them resolved. I had tried the credit card option and it was working fine now it is giving an error message. Hope to get it fixed soon. I do except Paypal. is that screw a standard thing? pretty sure i will lose it immediately.

The screw is only removed for shipping. After that you never have to take it out. You just loosen the thumb screws to slide your arrow out. I have mine mounted on an arrow and never loosen the screws all season.

Interested in a target cover as well but not sure how it will work with a bag target? Is the picture itself free standing with some sort or frame? Just set it in front of a bag?

The target cover is just an life size elk printed on a mesh fabric. I do not have a bag I have a block. I drove two posts a little wider than the target.
Then I attached a board at the top of the post and stapled the cover to that. I have mine in a area that is away from everything so I piled dirt with a skid steer to make a platform for my block to sit on behind the vitals of the elk.

It seems you could hang your bag from the board that cover hangs from.

This thing is going to be fun to shoot at. I folded the ends over and sewed a sleeve and then slid 1.5" pvc pipe in each end. Put a piece of pvc across the top. Placed a pair of small t posts in the ground and slid the pvc over them on each end.

Then I put these two targets behind it. It's a windy am here so I only shot one arrow and then put it all away.

My only question would be how many shots will it take before there's a sizeable hole in the money spot and you're shooting at a circle again. Regardless though it definitely beats a square block. Always good to visualize so that moment of truth comes natural.

Those are two amazing ideas. I feel like the decoy is a game changer. Way to go creating something that will sell like hot cakes! You are going to be a rich man if you have a patent on that product (which I'm sure you have). I will have one before elk season.

It would be a simple thing to print a square to go over the shot area. I could send it with double sided tape applied to the patch. All you would need to do is pull off the tape backing and stick it on. And yes I do have a patent on the decoy.
