New from East Oregon.

Postby Ethan21 » 02 09, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Well my dad sent me here he said one of the IT guys that works with the fire department he works at is a mod or something, and told my dad to have me check this site out. Anyway I am new here, have been lurking trying to feel the place out because there are so many other forums that I lurk on and cant stand. This site seems to be pretty good and I am glad to have joined hope to be able to learn a lot of stuff and maybe teach some as well. I am primarily into archery but do some long range hunting as well when I can. I own a Bowtech Experience and am ready to go hunting asap but its that time of year. I am ready to go roam the mountains in search of a nice bull elk, I have never shot a elk before.

Welcome to the elk camp Ethan. It is good to have another Oregonian here. I too hunt eastern Oregon, but live on the wet side.

Hope you give a dirt nap to one like your dad did a few years back. Still can't believe they took so many elk in one day. :D

Be careful, Swede will eat all your cookies. And RJ will make you climb cliffs to throw rocks at elk. Keeping reading the threads and you'll understand. ;)

Welcome to THE elk fourm Ethan, search the threads and you will most likely find an answer to just about any question on here, but these guys are just awsome when it come to the noobs. I myself have yet to go on my first elk hunt but theses guys haven't run me off since I started asking my dumb questions.

Hey guys: That is not my kind of stunt. I throw your block of wood on the fire when I see you go over to the coffee pot. Then I volunteer to hold your coffee while you find a new block to sit on. :D

Lol too funny fellas I am gonna like it here, john I hope one comes out in front of me like that and if it does I hope I can stop shaking long enough to shoot straight haha. I think I will bring my own log and not get up by the sounds of it that's the only way I'm walking out without a log stuck to my butt!
