G.E Game trail

getting board this winter started look around on GE around my hunting area in Colorado and came accross this trail? as far as i know its not a pack trail.It looks like it crosses a nice saddle.Look like a decent area to check out?do you guys ever find heavly used game trails on GE?We got pretty much snowed in here in ohio and this is the next best thing from getting boots on the ground

I could not get a clearer view but here is a better angle.
It will like a well worn game trail,I know theres a lot of game trails but i like how this goes right up into that saddle.Ill just have to go check it out this summer...i traced the red line along the trail

Where I hunt there are trails evident, but game trails are not distinguishable from cattle trails. Your trail is interesting. Sure check it out when you can.

I see lots of trails on GE. But in my experience the ones that show up are in places like your where it's not just a saddle but the adjacent hills are pretty steep so it's the only feasible route from bottom to top. Since that's the case it's used by everything from elk to cattle to horses, hikers and coyotes etc which is why it's so prominent.

It is definitely worth noting IMO. Especially if you have an idea of what the elk are doing, feeding and bedding, in you particular area. After finding new spots this last year, I went ahead and marked them out on GE and other mapping systems I have. Now going over them again and again and again......I am connecting the dots on spots that show the same sign and possible travel routes. New territory to discover every year.

Thanks for the replies, it's definitely notable about other animals using this trail and even humans not every trails are marked on Mapps. I figure I'll go check it out while I'm on my camping trip this summer and check for signs rubs droppings sheds whatever

It does look like a game trail.

There's a trail in a similar basin I know of, that the elk use mainly to relocate in and out of the basin. It looks a lot like the trail on your map when I see it on GE.

The elk I'm seeing may stay down in the basin until they are bumped, then they always funnel up the same trail. A great ambush opportunity if you can have one guy down in the basin honking on a hoochie mama, and the other guy sitting on top of the trail.
