Any good binocs for under $200

I don't want to invest a lot of money in a pair, but want something decent. I don't glass a lot, so won't spend hours at time behind them. Looking for something easy to pack or carry, rugged, and will provide clear images.

I like my 10x40 leupolds. I wouldn't go to the woods without them.

I prefer 7-8x. Lighter, brighter, easier to use in close cover, less jiggle. I have a pair of surplus Steiner military marines (7x35) I found on the 'net in your price range. I never wanted anything else since I started with these 15 years ago. It is always a good policy to support the sponsors of this site.

I just got a pair of Vortex Diamondback 8 x 32 for Christmas for me they are the perfect size to pack , I have a pair of 8 x 42 and they are getting
left at camp because they are just too big for me to pack. I also don't spend hours glassing they are just for a few minutes at a time.
I love the smaller size and they are very clear.

i have the new redfield 8x32 and 10x42 and i LOVE them----8x32 my go to for bow season. the optic clarity is unbelievable---very very crisp. they dont fog and adjust very nicely. i compared them to the leupolds (who own redfield now and use the same glass in them essentially) and the diamondbacks and still went with the redfields. they were more crisp in my opinion. bimarts in the NW have the 8x32 for 120 or so, and the 10x42 for 140 i think. they also have a great warranty and customer service. and made in Oregon;)

I have some 10x42 brunton that I think were about $150, pretty good glass for the price. We've had them side by side with Ziess and swvorskis and they do good. Not sure how they are against Vortex nobody I run with has tried them yet.
