Maybe not an "elk" thread but I'll say "HEY LURKERS" because I think it really helped bring some humble folks out of hiding by clarifying what this place and the people here are all about. Started in February and still getting posts this month and working it's way to 300 posts and 10,000 views!

for elk hunting discussion I remember cnelks frontal shot thread had good discussions and pics for all to consider.

that's right it was a big pain in the @! what was so funny was the IS choice of words and story telling skills. maybe it was because a number of those type things had happened to me in the past; but your stories take the blue ribbon my friend.

I can't pick out just one. So much great discussion this year. I really liked the 'what should/would you do' threads. Also liked the shot placement and of course the 'post up your elk sounds' threads. So much good stuff; elk info cornucopia

But I did enjoy doing the 'Cold Shots'
It was neat to go shoot on film, post it and then see who else participated

I thought RJ's hunting scenarios were a challenge and educational. They reminded me of real situations where you make your decision and play it out.
