PP - I know my OTC area well and have not taken the time to scout limited areas. There are a number of limited areas that a resident can draw on 0 PP or just 1 PP. You just need to put them down as your 1st preference. However, you will never accumulate PP if you go with the strategy of getting a limited license on your 1st choice.

In addition, I can get an either sex and anterless for OTC. Limited would give me one tag for the limited area. With so many good OTCs areas, I am not motivated to go for a limited license.

I have absolutely no strategy on using these PP.

I know of someone that visits this forum that drew his tag after almost 2 decades for a NW CO unit

He always takes tremendous photos and tells a great story when he documents his hunts.
You will definitely want to read it

I sent him a txt yesterday to congratulate him.
We are getting together for a couple of beverages and catch of couple of walleye soon.

I got a PP for elk but I will again for the 2nd year in a row be helping a close family member archery hunt unit 61. Hopefully it will be as fun as being on the hunt with cnelk last year in 61.

Backdoor is not open yet.
480 means your APP is on file, but it could mean you DIDNT draw. But you wont know until the backdoor opens

take a look at your preference points, if they went up you didnt draw if they went to zero you drew. i gained a pp for deer and elk.

My partner and I drew Unit 2 with 18 points, applying together. There were five licenses in "our" pool, and we got two of them. Very psyched!!!!!!

If I get a big bull, it will be gravy, but I'm looking forrward to an excellent hunt with an opportunity to hunt big bulls with no hunting pressure. That's how my expectations re set. Plus, I don't know where I'd put another one, since we're running out of room. Wife said kill it and we'll figure it out..

But I only had a 10 percent chance of not drawing that unit
