I need to add a couple of personal experiences
One happened in Vancouver Wa on Salmon Creek, the other near Ogden Utah on the Weber River
Both situations boys hanging around the water, fly fishermen and shop owners shared their interest with an orphan and the other situation a son of a real bad mother.

I remember borrowing my dads old ford several years back. Am/fm and a tape deck. Listening to the classic rock station, standard classic rock crap, then alice in chains came on. Man that screwed me up.

We were in my FIL gun /reloading room, My then a girl of interest grabbed a bottle of #9 and dabbed it on her wrists, 3 months later we were married.

Maybe the best lie my FIL ever told. :lol:

Now I need to share a real story from the week before Christmas.

My daughter Julie called my wife and said she couldn't find the tree stand.
I had just packed my huntign ground blind up from their place from the late season Turkey hunt with my Granddaughter

My daughter texted Andrew ,,
:Where's the tree stand? "
Andrews answer
"In the bike room"
( where they keep all their hunting camping backpacking archery stuff.
My wife asks me,,,
I say" Im sure its in the camping room"( bike room) West wall hanging up likely the highest thinkg in the room
Im packing up my tree stand and harness to take to Julies,,,,, It is now in the back of my wifes car. We drive to Preston ( inlaws plkace) to winterize the water for the cabin,,,,

Julie calls and suggests Grandpa must have a tree stand,, My wife goes on "Grandpa would have never had a tree stand," At that moment: Christmas tree stand so yeah that really happened,,, and we did buy a Christmas tree stand in Preston for my daughter
