Two many years ago. Prior to 1974, one Colorado elk tag and a Alberta elk tag in the early 80's

When I was 13 the Minnesota deer season was closed. My dad and some buddies, we hunted Moose
Mountain Saskatchewan I bought my $40 deer license with paper route money, mostly quarters :lol: A took a nice 10 point and a little 10 point

Starting when I was a teenager We would hunt the Iowa teal season then the late season roosters. A couple times ended up in SD.
I bought trapping licenses in Indiana, California, Nebraska and Arkansas, At that time didnt need them for coyotes and fox in Wyoming.
Out first year in Utah I had to buy a NR licenses,. Elk tags in Montana, A couple times waterfowl , goose early season Wyoming and a handful of antelope tags
My inlaws have a place in SE Idaho I bought fishing licenses for years, and While in Utah , Idaho upland opened earlier in Idaho,, Kind of a hunting date with my wife for a seven years, Then late sesaon waterfowl in Idaho
While living in Washington state I bought and Oregon upland and fishing and messed up should have bought a deer aand bear tag while fishing in Alaska

I guess I missed a few,.. On the poll I should have the more than

Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Montana, Idaho and Colorado - hope to add Wyoming to the list this year...

So probably a dozen tags.

Wyoming, Idaho, Alaska. Hoping to maybe add Montana to that this year and also head back to AK.

While dating a girl in Wisconsin I also bough a small game and fishing . And small game and fishing is usually cheap.

Just two states for me (total 9 or so?). Idaho and Montana. Building up some WY points though (will see if I ever make it down there).

Oh, dang, I thought we were talking elk only. If it is all tags, I would have to change my vote to over 40. Lots of nonresident pheasant hunting licenses in the Dakotas and MT.

Dude get your butt down there! I remember a hunting/guiding buddy said to me one time “You’re a good elk hunter but you’re working too hard. If you hunt like that down here you’ll kill one every time” He was right and I have. You will too. I know your sinus issue has been making it hard to plan. Just go for it!
