I saw this one earlier. Pretty good one. I've only ever seen one, at it was on the dark. I'm sure plenty have seen me though.
I hunt therefore I am. I fish therefore I lie.

I was out hunting in some very rocky cliffy terrain today, and god i was hoping to see just that, but no luck. Snow is so crunchy and loud here i was hearing deer walk around that were 200-300 yards away. That tells me a cat could hear me walking every bit as far as they could hear me calling. Makes a guy less than motivated to commit to a long calling session. We really need a few inches of fresh powder here to muffle things. Think im done predator hunting until that happens. Waste of time.

On yhe bright side i did see an unprecedented number of deer today. Most wintering deer ive seen in years. I know lions must be clise by, but god the snow conditions are just terrible this year. Feel like im banging pots and pans together walking through the woods.

I kept looking and looking and looking,.. What are you guys seeing,..

My pup whines I looked at her turned back,.. Boom
How did I ever miss it. But I thought those were small rocks and shrubs

Thats the neatest thing about trapping cats,.. , traps gone from it bed,.. follow the chain,.. even worse ( maybe better  )_ when the chain goes up

I see it, but would I see it if I were there?

Nope. Like the rest of us, youd be fixated on a pile of elk turds or something. Guaranteed weve all walked right by this scene, totally clueless.

Yep. I see one while hunting on occasion but I’m sure I’ve walked by many more.

Ive seen sevral just by random chance. Im sure the number we dont see far exceeds the number we do see. Theyre far more elusive than we are observant. Even the most alert woodsman is a bumbling fool in the woids compared to a lion. They live and die by their stealth and observance. What is a hobby to us, is survival to them 24/7/365

I am sure you are right. I saw the kitty because I knew there was something looking at me from what the post said. Otherwise I might have missed in just another picture.
