its a long shot, but if anybody has a good condition pre 64 win model 88 in .243 give me a holler!

You and me both brutha. That was the first centerfire rifle I ever hunted with and it was awesome. My neighbor loaned it to me for a turkey hunt in Az. Ahhhh, the good ol days. Good luck on your search, if you find two, let me know. :)

There's one on gunbroker.com for 1200 but it's in pa. I'm not spending that kind of cash on a 60 yr old rifle unless I can see it first

I saw that and don't blame you. Quite a resale value on it too. You may want to keep an eye on the Cabela's and Bass Pro gun libraries. My local Cabelas had about 4 Winchester model 100's on the shelf so I'm sure some 88's may turn up.
