You sure bears should be eating chocolate and coffee beans?

Throw a few cases of redbull out there and see what happens.

Or we can skip the foreplay, douse a whole mess of these in honey and see how it goes.

I still have some old red bull,..been frozen two winters . My chocolate milk bowl may need to move locations once the snow melts.
And chocolate covered coffee beans, too much entertainment on the trail cams?

I may try something different this year. My daughter hasnt sat on the baits Ive placed for her.
Ill bait one location heavy early. then play with the other locations middle end of May.

Maybe even kill a bear this year

I followed my wife's instruction , took a rifle and hunted from the ground, instead of archery from a tree

Hound s were at the site 3 times in 7 days. And the bears haven't been in during day light hours. The past 6 days.

Ravens ,a buzzard and a martin make it interesting.

This is the story as told to me.
TC said he and another bear hunter use to get lots of the chocolate covered roasted coffee beans from the same source.
As the story goes the other fellow had an old bear that ate plenty of the covered coffee beans. The other hunter found the old coffee bear dead.

Others created the story that the bear died from the chocolate and coffee beans when it was just a chocolate coffee eating bear that likely died of old age and he found it.

There has never been any type of proof chocolate is a problem. They both had other bears eat larger amount percentage wise.

TC also worked and helped research bear diet.
They both claim bears get bored or satiated from eating much of anything when they have a smorgasbord in the woods. Like people, often bears crave high calorie, protein carb foods when needed

Oh man, got everything done now, just waiting on the ATF to stop infringing and approve me for my suppressor for my .444 marlin, then ill REALLY be loaded for bear! Sounds like with this new eform thing i should have it by september, likely a couple months before i get my 308 can that i did the old paper form for in november. But really, a cerakoted .444 marlin lever gun with a 16.25" barrel and a titanium can and a red dot, could there be a more perfect bear gun? I think not. Man im excited!

So how much is the license permit or what ever is required beyond the price of the suppressor !

Aside from the cost of the suppressor, theres a $200 tax stamp. And you have to provide fingerprint cards, which my local sheriffs department charges $10 for, though ive heard other counties and agencies charge quite a bit more . And passport photos, which you can do yourself but i just get those done at the same county building for another $10. So cost of the can +220.

Loaded for Bear 2022
Well I did get the OSB box blind out and put on the trailer. I need some screen for mosquitoes. Picked up bi-pod today at Cal Ranch. My Primos monopod is likely still under snow when it fell out of my pack in December.
Yesterday a neighbor approached me and needs my post hole digger and tractor,, then found out I hunt bears. In the past he has just dumped the pastries .

Trail cameras ready to go.. ATv and chainsaw are full of gas. Just waiting on a some beef trimmings.

Good luck Lefty. I've heard of a few bears in the general area hitting the dirt.

Lefty, you ever get weird stuff on your bear baits? Friend of mine is baiting in idaho and sent me pics of a bull elk thats been coming by day after day eating donuts out of his barrel. No joke.

While waiting on my suppressor i decided to trick my bear gun out some more. Ordered a kydex cheek pad adjustable comb kit for my laminate stock so i could get rid of the damn spandex sleeve / foam pad combo. Put the hammer spur on, took the red dot off, and waiting on the arrival of a viper pst gen 2 1-6×24. Cant think of anything else i can do to this thing to be more loaded for bear
