Dec Was Good - Wild Roaming Henry's Bison

Postby Charina » 01 08, 2019 •  [Post 1]

It was the wife's tag. But I treated it as if it was my hunt until the time to shoot came. Then I switched to the role of a guide. :D

Congratulations to both of you. How many times did she apply before she got a tag? I have never hunted one but have heard getting a tag is difficult, and getting a free roaming bison is hard to get too.

Good for you and family....bison meat is the standard as far as I am concerned. What are odds of drawing in Utah? I keep hoping for my Montana tag some year here at home. What age class is that animal?

Congrats Charina!!! Like stepping back in time. I’d love to do that. The best cut of meat I have ever eaten in my life hands down was a filet from a bison taken at the National Elk Refuge near Jackson.
