Buck Of A Lifetime!

Postby ElkNut1 » 11 19, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Guys & Gals, I was fortunate enough to take a true Idaho Giant! Paul Jr (BowElkDwn) & I were on this DIY Public Land hunt together when we glassed this guy up. We didn't realize at the time how big he was, I even considered passing him thinking he wasn't that big on this late hunt!!! Ouch!!! I may need my eyes examined! He's over 200" & a monster buck that I am proud to have taken, 28" main-frame & 33" to his stickers! Just look at his mass!!! I'm still in shock over him!!! I couldn't have done it without my Son there, we're a true team!

Well Paul after reading Facebook I got so upset at some of the idiots who had to make comments. You're a better man than me, I probably would have deleted them by now with there stand back farther comments. Thats an absolutely incredible buck. Congratulations to you and Paul Jr. Thats some wicked looking country!!! I love it. Tell us about the spot (how far away) the stalk, and then how far the shot was.

Oh and if you considered passing on him I'll hunt your not shooter bucks any day of the week

Beautiful buck. Congratulations. A trophy becuase of the memories made and the pride you take in the hunt, not because of his score.

Congratulations Paul on a buck of a lifetime. Well deserved, and memories with family for a lifetime. That buck is huge and I bet the packout was just as good ;)

That buck is just proof that Elknut can't shoot at anything unless it approaches the looks of an elk. Honestly, that rack is so heavy and impressive I would've mistakenly put my elk tag on that buck. BIG congrats to you Paul.

Rifle or bow?

That hill you're on makes me tired just looking at it. You didn't have to stalk him going up the hill I hope?

No orange requirement in Idaho.

Do we have a story for this buck yet? Holding out for a magazine Paul?
