Thinking of heading over to unit 1 thursday morning. Bring the bear cannon and a call and poke around a bit.

I dont suppose anybody has any experience on the ground in the part of unit 1 between priest lake and the washington border and wouldnt mind pm'ing me? Never stepped foot in the area myself.

Im not looking to hunt elk over there, but for the sake of transparency i will be looking at the area with an eye for november deer hunting in the course of my predator hunting. But for the time being im looking for bears and wolves.

Roads are bad over there. Got stuck twice, decided not to try for number three, came home until the season progresses. Went hunting today near home, and got stuck.

Well, all it took was a bunch of shoveling, but i didnt want to press my luck and get real bad. After i dug myself out of the snow in ferry county yesterday i was heading home and got a call that a friend was stuck in the mud up where i buried my truck a couple years ago. And it just so happens another friend was up there working and tried to get him out and he got stuck too, by the time i got up there a 3rd person had arrived to help and got them both pulled out.
