Yum. Been in Maui since the 19th. Leaving tomorrow. Been living on local cuisine. Looking forward to some venison again!

Its been a few years since Ive had whitetail,,, these mule deer and black tails just , well should be made into sausage,
good thing elk and moose are venison too!!!

I'm going to disagree with you Lefty! While I know whitetail, especially ag country whitetail, are cream of the crop, I have found blacktail to be right up there. In fact I've found all deer to be delicious, as long as they're taken care of properly and cooked properly. My wife didn't use to like to deer, still comments on it occasionally, but also says that it seems much better the last few years since I've started paying more attention to how I handle my game meat.
