Most archey elk hunts are over!
Whats your game now.
We just finished both of my daughters rifle deer hunt, Son- in laws rifle antelope.
Saturday were going back after my daughters once in a life time moose.

Will get out a few times in the late archery season in WA the last part of November. Will hunt for elk but will take a stinky blacktail if one won't leave me alone (jerky deer). Then on to Puget Sound fishing for winter blackmouth (resident kings) and some salty chum salmon. Watching pro football and movies will get me through the rainy season here.

Still have a month of general season left here. Will try to get my hunting partner on an elk and look for a nice whitetail for me.

For me the next ten months are a combination of preparing and waiting, and waiting.

Now what?

Postby slim9300 » 10 26, 2012 •  [Post 8]

Sporadic weekend sits in the good ole' treestand for Blacktail. Now through the end of December.

A short trip to Eastern MT for rifle Mule deer early November.

Late season cow hunt with my bow starting late November and going until December 15th.

Then I'm finally done. :)

I have a late eastern Idaho whitetail hunt. After that is over, maybe on to coyotes. Never hunted them before. I may this year. April 15 turkey opens. Yum....

Thank you! I still look at it every day on my wall in admiration. Coming from two non-photographer types, we were very lucky to get it. Lol.

Wolves, Coyotes, Chuckars, Grouse, Pheasants, Ducks, Geese and Whistle Pigs. My Wife doesn't see me much. I'm going to order some infant ear muffs soon so that I can take my 8 month old pheasant hunting with me. I have a baby pack that he LOVES to be in. His head is slightly higher than mine so he can see the world from a new vantage point . . . . . and he likes bouncing around on my back as I'm climbing up and down things. He's gonna be an outdoorsman for sure. :-)

I will go back to CO next week and assume the role of Hop-Singh for a 3rd season rifle camp. It will be fun to ride all over the mountains on horseback.
TX bow season has come and gone and my participation was two days. I know, that is bad. Work and life get in the way.
But when I return there will be bowhunting deer and pigs until the new year is here.
