Dad's first bull

Postby MTLongdraw » 10 22, 2012 •  [Post 1]

After 19 seasons of hunting, my old man finally shot his first bull yesterday. It was an area he has hunted every weekend since 1993. He has only ever hunted about three other places in his life. I wasn't there to see him shoot it but me and my wife were able to go help him pack it out. What a great day. He was all smiles and very greatful for his trophy. I'll post some more pictures later.

Nice bull. Hopefully this is the start of a trend for him. I am glad he hung in there and did not give up.

Now that's perseverance...19 years of elk tag soup. Most guys I know who haven't put the deal together after 4-5 years pack it up and find something else to do in the fall months. Big Congrats to your Dad!!!
