Kahlen strikes again!

Postby slim9300 » 10 03, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Opening day of NM's rifle elk season my little sister Kahlen shot this great bull at 100 yards with her 7mm08. The shot was quartering away slighly and it was down in 20 yards with one shot.

Btw. Kahlen doesn't turn 11 years old until the 20th of this month. :)

Looks like Kahlen is following in the footsteps of her older brother and dad. Nice job to the young hunter!

Near Taos. Way up north. It's a private lease and a landowner tag.

That's mean. :) She will kill 4 elk before I was able to hunt elk for the first time, not to mention she killed her first bull more than a decade faster than I did. I would say she has a bit of a jump start on her brother. Lol.

She has a nice Mission bow and loves to shoot it. I would think it's going to take a few years to get her up to 40+ lbs. of draw weight though. :)
