2012 Next Generation - "Hunting"

Postby Dirty D » 09 28, 2012 •  [Post 1]

I decided to start a thread for all those that are taking the next generation of hunters into the woods. I took my two little guys out “hunting” this weekend (pretty much camping in camo). They had a great time. I wish I could say I do it purely for their benefit, but I’m secretly hoping I’ve got two meat haulers a few years from now!

Post 'em if you got 'em.

Those are simply the best hunting pics that I've seen this year! Very well done! Congrats on getting them out and making it enjoyable for them! You are, I'm quite sure, one very proud dad!

My son really wanted to go out all season. He is just now 3. Walks around making elk noises all the time. Loves Elknut's sounds by the elk cd, we have to (get to) listen to it every morning on the way to daycare. I came home for a weekend and took him out on a Saturday morning for a couple brief walks in the woods. Here are two pics.

This is awesome. Good for you. I love seeing the little ones out there. My guy is 10 months and he's already been to hunting camp (2 weeks old) and met me at the truck on my packout this year. Hopefully I'm not too pushy but until he can tell me he doesn't like it I'm going to have to assume he does :D When I watch the hunting channels and the elk bugle he does too.

I've said it a thousand times that hunting and fishing kept me out of trouble when I was younger. Best thing you can do for your kids in my opinion. Mine love hunting and fishing.

Only good pic I have on my phone. We down on my lease chasing hogs after the river had flooded it pretty good.

The pictures remind me of the times I took my kids out. They still love the outdoors. I am looking forward to the time my grand kids will go on a hunt with me. Right now they camp with their parents and occasionally grandparents and listen to hunting stories.

Very cool dad. What a great time for your boys. I bet they had a blast putting the camo paint on.
