It didn't start out right....

Postby bald9eagle » 09 15, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Got to the cabin last night and all was well. Emptied pack out to take some weight off and get hunting clothes out. We changed our plans slightly and decided to hike in our hunting clothes instead of packing them in. Somewhere during all that I took my release out and left it on the table. Got to trailhead this morning and realized what I did. Instead of driving the 1hr plus back to cabin we stopped at a bow shop at 8am this morning to buy a release. The guy in the shop gave us tons of info and led us a different direction to hunt. Now instead of being at the treeline I am hunting a wallow about 2 miles in that is in the middle of a meadow. We were here 10 minutes and saw a cow and legal bull run across the back end. It's not always a bad thing to forget your release. ;)
