Anybody been hearing any Elk talk yet? Seen any bachelores?

I know they talk year around but just wondering if anyone has heard any of them bulls locating each other to group up or any other activity? I was out working this morning and saw 4 bulls all in velvet grouped up. And about two weeks ago saw a least 2 bulls in velvet grouped up and there was another Elk with them but couldnt put horns on him.

What you seeing and hearing if anything?

Josh, that's very cool!! I have a hankering to get out there for sure but still waiting for the snows to recede here so I can get out & do some scouting! Need to get out & build a make-shift ground blind for my grandson & I, got this good spot, I hope!!!!

Went bear hunting with a buddy and pushed out 50+ head of elk. Nice solid velvet beams on one bull. A few chirps and one social mew but no other talk.

I have pics of 3 bulls together and a few loners. One has about 3 times the horn growth of the others. Heading back up in a couple weeks to check the cameras again to see how they are doing.

Over Memorial week-end here in WI I was part of a group that was tracking, catching, and radio collaring new born calves. Seen a few bulls and cows, and got some calves collared, was a fun week-end. Didn't here any vocalizations however.

I heard some bulls whistling back and forth this last weekend in New Mexico,along the Colorado border,,also heard some cows with caves talkin it up in another area not far from the bulls

heard lots of cow talk. i got em to answer last august when i cow called. sounded like he was just lettin a potential girlfriend know he was there. finding the cows finds the bulls in sept.
