Valle Vidal Youth rifle tag

Hey guys, hoping someone could give me a few pointers. My 11 year old son was fortunate enough to draw a Valle Vidal youth rifle tag Oct. 15-19. I plan on going out around the 4th of July and scouting, hoping anyone that has had the same tag or knows anything about the area might be able to help. Thanks!

Ive only heard the area is beautiful.

Otherwise have your son practice shooting with .22
Then swap out for a lightweight load from the gun he will be using for practice such as a 90 grain 30 cal. You dont want anyone developing a flinching habit because of a big load
