Preference Points

Postby Mallard1123 » 01 31, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I want to start buying preference points every year for different places. Is there anywhere that tells you what all the different states preference points sell dates are? I thought i read somewhere that today is the last day for some where but I cant remember where it was.

I would just check the various states you're thinking of applying for. You should read the rules and familiarize yourself with the different hunts (and costs) by state. Bookmark each states game department website. You're gonna want to go there a lot anyhow. Any website summarizing all of that information, if there is one, probably won't tell you all you want to know anyhow.

Here's a good start. Keep in mind, Huntin' Fool sells a service, so their recommendations come from that angle.

You should also verify dates, they've been known to be off because of the early printing.

Was talking to Glen Berry at the WA Sportsman Show yesterday and he brought up an phone app called Point Hunter. Looks pretty cool, may want to check it out. I believe it sends you reminders when the various state deadlines are approaching.

It does Phantom and it is pretty handy. I have the app. You pick the states you want reminders for as well as when and how you want the reminders sent. Definitely worth a couple bucks.
