Short season for me.

Check out this link about how Fred Eichler does the boneless method of field dressing. I tried it out on my elk this morning, And when he said he could do each side in 11-12 minutes, he wasn't kidding. I took a little break after I popped the legs off and still had one side done in about 15 minutes and that was all by myself with no help.

I think I mentioned earlier on here that I was looking for a nice tender calf this year as I still had plenty of elk in the freezer from last year. Went out this morning to one of my favorite spots. I set up and did one series of my version of the silent calling method. within 10 minutes, I was dressing my elk out. Pretty short elk season for me.

I like the video, one of the better ones online. If I get one I will cape it which will take a little longer and give it to a friend who does amateur taxidermy .

WW how about some pics of the calf. :D
