Tired of being a ElkNut Forum Stalker !!!!

As the title says I am tired of just stalking this forum .I decided to take the plunge ..God only knows how long I been collecting knowledge from all of you...So here it goes ...My name is Ryan and I am a ElkOholic....The bug hit me about 8 years ago and can't seem to kick the habitat..... Its gotten so bad I find myself bugling 30 mins to work and back....If you guys have a cure let's hear it ... I am glad to finnaly be apart of the elk community.....

Howdy Ryan, welcome to "the" elk forum. Please pull up a log by the fire, grab a bev of choice, and chime in early and often. As far as that bugling problem you have on your commute.... I hate to be the one to tell you, but there is no cure for it. Let this forum be your support group but unfortunately, most of us have the same problem and will only encourage you to make more elk noises

hello.. new here as well.

I mostly read here trying to catch-up and learn from you guys. Sorry that sounds bad, seems I'm taking from here and not giving back, but when I feel I have something to offer I will.

As far as your addiction, I spent 8 hours yesterday at work studying topos of MT. I'll probably do the same today!

Welcome Ryan! I'm afraid I'm forsure in trouble then. I have never even been elk hunting (first time going this year) I'm a hardcore whitetail bowhunter. But I feel addicted already! Anywhere I'm driving I have a elk call in my mouth, and the mountains on my mind!

Welcome Ryan. This is a great place to learn about Elk Hunting, Calling, and preparation. Unfortunately, you addiction will only get worse before it gets better. Hunting elk during the rut is the single most exciting, challenging, and satisfying form of hunting that I have experienced. The only problem is the limited season, limited tags, and access. You have to be highly motivated to succeed Elk hunting.
