Friday can't get here soon enough! I have everything packed and I'm planning on getting out of town early Friday morning so I can get camp set up. Who else is hunting this weekend? Good luck and shoot straight!

I get off work at 6am friday morning then a short 2 hour drive to elk camp. I'll be there for 11 days... it can't get here soon enough

Off work at noon tuesday headed up shortly there after. Be into base camp Wednesday evening with a couple days to look around and set up spike camp. Got about ten days to hunt. First time I've been able to hunt opening week.

I would if the season was open?????? Nothing here yet except for cows only! It opened Aug 15. The either sex opener is the 30th. I'll be out there then testing the waters!! (grin)

I'm headed up Thursday evening to make sure I find a spot to construct my hotel (19x19 wall tent). I'll be hunting for 10-days unless I tag out sooner

Heading up Friday morning. Hiking in about 4 miles and setting up camp with the intention of coming out on Monday. Same plan for next weekend too!

Heading out Thursday morning, drive 6 hours, last hour on 8 miles of washboard gravel so that takes a while. Then set up camp (easy with a 5th wheel .

Check things out Friday and start hunting first thing Saturday for 8 days (hopefully I wont need that long for at least a deer). We have tags for elk, deer, cougar and bear, so I'm looking for anything

Went out last weekend, it was good to be packing the bow up in the mountains again. Went with a couple guys that just want to get their first elk but all I could get within their range was a calf, we had a good time messing with it though. Came close on a cow and some spikes for them but just couldn't close the deal. I'll probably be packing in a spike camp this weekend.

My fear every year!!!
Heading out this morning to get groceries and putting my final packing list together. Thinking I may try to get out of town Thursday afternoon instead of Friday!

I leave fri midday to my camp. Be there the next 3 weekends till I got last 2 weeks of season off. Hopefully spend about 20 days total in the field.( I quess hopefully not that long) but that's what I got.. We wait all year till this month, I try to take full advantage. Good luck y'all!!

We will be finishing packing the trailer this afternoon and leaving here in WI around 8 this evening. We should get to Kerney, NE for breakfast and a stop at Cabela's. Gotta stop there even if we don't buy anything. Huh that ain't likely. We should be in Montrose, Co that evening making a stop to buy our liscense. will set up camp the next morning. Hopefully I will get my tree stand set up and be ready to arrow one opening. If not then, maybe in the next two weeks. Hopefully I will get to see the bull that Crazyelkhunter kills this year .
Have a great hunt this year. It will be great to get back up higher then high compared to here in WI.
