Shoot or let it go?

Postby Miller1 » 08 20, 2012 •  [Post 1]

If you saw this bull in the wild without ear tag, no fence would you shoot or let it get to 600", lol, i met a couple this weekend that invited my family to take a tour of there elk farm here in michigan, im not a fan of game farms but this was very interesting. They dont sell hunts but they do sell to some hunt ranches and they sell for breading, and they butcher a few cows. The big guy is 560" and he has quite a few 450-500+.

I am not a fan of fenced hunts either. It is amazing what kind of horns can be grown in a controlled environment. If I seen one like that in the wilderness area, my first thought would be God must have called me on up!! Definitely not a typical wilderness elk.

I don't think you'd need to use a bow. Just hold out some grain in your hand and when they walk up, hit em in the head with a hammer!

Fwap, fwap, fwap, fwap, fwap (sounds of grabbing additional arrows).... fwap, fwap, etc. If I saw any of those in bow range where I hunt in ID, WA, or MT, all you'd hear is the sizzle of Alpine Archery projected carbon arrows a flying.. Those are amazing bulls. RJ
