Epic Gluten Free Protein Bars

Postby SarcasmPhD » 07 11, 2015 •  [Post 1]

I don't know about you all but I do my best to eat healthy and clean. I'll choose quality over chemical names you can't pronounce just to save money. If you're like me, I've been planning my trip and my meals. Keeping it as nutrient dense as possible. An alternative to the old slim Jim or beef jerky, there is a protein bar you may want to try. They're called, Epic. Come in four different meats: turkey, beef, bison and lamb. You can find them on Amazon. I've tried just about every protein bar out there. Which is why I posted my own recipe for homemade protein bars. These Epic bars, for me, are arguably the best I've tasted as ones I've bought.

Yes, I like eating healthy but am not a health nut! (grin) Do those bars need refrigerated? How was your level of energy after eating one?

They do not need to be refrigerated. Easy to open package. I buy them at the grocery store here right in the sports nutrition aisle. Amazon offers sample packs of all the bars. The Bison is outstanding.

Actually ate one this morning after grocery shopping. Hadn't eaten breakfast, and it hit the spot. I plan on carrying these along with cashews as a meal for my hunt.

Hmm, may be I'll give them a try, I'm always looking for that small boost mid morning & afternoon after hitting hard in elk country, thanks!

You share your passion & enthusiasm for elk with us, Paul. Sharing a good protein bar with you is the least I can do.... ;)
