My intent has been to hold out for one of the big boys come september. I feel my chances of getting a shot at one of them are pretty good. But now, hell i think even if i saw this guy standing next to one of the big 6pts or the 7pt id have to shoot this screwed up raghorn.

My son & I put two cameras out last Saturday, can't wait to head on over & check out the photos, we should have a few!

Animals do what it takes to survive. People seem to do a poor job and wrap their mind around the problem. Yes injured animals are better candidates to become part of the food chain
The huge injured bull I followed last year during August could have been wolf, coyote and bird feed
But animals can do well
A friend shot a book bear in Minnesota, likely injured and survived a car wreck, w front leg that was a stump and broken back hip.
I trapped a 17lb red fox( one of the three biggest red fox I ever trapped). The farmer had mowed the whole back leg off the year before.
Ive trapped a number of raccoon and mick that seemed to be blind, others that recovered from vehicle hits

I second what lefty said! see how it plays out. I mean he's made it this far, if he makes it to September and is still alive, than he's probably going to be A-OK? Can you set your game cam's to take short vids, and see how bad he is limping? I guess it's hard to tell from a still shot. Your call though, don't let other peoples opinions (or 7 point's) get in the way of a humane decision!

Hes been gimpy since at least may 10th and he has covered some serious miles to get to this place. He seems to be pretty friendly with the local whitetails.

Somebody else showed me a pic they got of him on may 10th and it was about 10 miles away as the crow flies. No mistaking him, its the same bull.
