Postby idahoghost » 06 26, 2015 •  [Post 1]

If it sounds as good as it looks, Paul deserves accolades from all us us as well as the elk.
Can't wait to try it out. Way to go Paul !!!

Larry, yes the Bugle definitely has the cool factor, it sounds pretty darn good too! (grin) I've put it against several others we have here & it has its own unique sound, it really does not imitate any I have here including our other Chuckler models. Those who have it will notice this too. One thing that really stands out is it's high pitch capabilities, it can be flat ear piercing if you want it to be, this means far reaching sounds on long distances, semi windy days or heavily hunted thick stuff where sound is easily knocked down. So far this thing is all I wanted it to be, can't wait for those Sept. bulls! (grin)

Larry we had help in the packaging as there were so many to get out in a timely manner, yours slipped through without a signing, no problem though we'll hook up this Summer & I'll take care of that little problem! (grin)

Thanks everyone!

This bugle really does have entire different range. Nice job on the design!! I am not easily impressed with people's imitation of animal sounds. But this bugle truly is very close to a bulls throaty sounds ! Can't wait to get into some elk with it!! Thanks it was worth the wait!!

Just got my bugle from Paul(elknut) today........this thing is awesome! It's shorter than my other bugle which I really like, and has great volume, and a cool unique sound. I hate to admit, but i have been missing the boat milking out my old dia.from primos. The dia.s from elknut,(bugling bull game calls)are a perfect fit in my mouth, and I had perfect sound on the very first try.My only mistake, was not getting double and triple reeds, which I am going to do now. These dia are so easy to use, that I am not going to hesitate on using these for larger bull sounds, and more volume.I am also exited about the new dia. comming from "wapiti",should have those any day.
Being totally anal about anything that has even a tiny bit of shine to it,I did take a little sand paper to the ends of the bugle to dull it up a bit,as I do to all my bugles,or will cover them with black "pany hose". This is not nessessary on this bugle, however,as it has a real cool camo fabric in the middle with elk on it....cool!
My exitement level has just jumped up a few notches with this bugle, and can't wait to try it on the real deal, thanks again Paul for another great setup!
