Solstice Scouting Surprises

Here are some highlights from a scouting trip in Central CO last weekend. Some surprises!

Surprise!


The biggest surprise of all would not wait for his picture. A mountain lion ran across a forest service road 50 yards in front of my truck @ 5 pm on Solstice Sunday. Never been anywhere that close to a cougar in the wild, that I know of. Sometimes scouting is better than hunting.

Oh that steak looks gooooood! Does anyone know how to score pronghorn? he looks more than average...
