Rob, I received an email on their arrival for this Monday, but sorry to say they are already gone. (sold) I had a few extras but guys found out & they sold out in 10 minutes! The word from Vortex is mid July before next shipment is available! If you or anyone is interested in one then pre-order & you will be at the top of the list on their next arrival! I cannot wait to look through these!!!

I can't wait to see it. Everything else from vortex has been great so I'm sure this will be too. Glad I got in on this first order. I will let everyone know what I think of it once I get it in my hands.

Paul I will be calling you this week and placing an order for that next shipment. That is so crazy to hear that, I called vortex like two week's ago and they told me should start seeing them anywhere from july to the beginning of august.

I swore to secrecy until they announced they would be shipping...... I got my Ranger 1000's back at the end of April and oh man they are nice!! I took them with me to Africa last month. They worked awesome. The display is great. I like that you can adjust the brightness with three different settings. Also, I like the ability to switch from HCD to line of sight on the readouts. The belt clip works great and came in really handy.

All I can say is if you are in the market for an awesome set of rangefinders, you can't go wrong with the Ranger 1000's. My PH is going to be ordering a set to replace his "other" expensive ones.

Just pre-ordered a rangefinder from Paul,

After talking to some of my buds and Paul I jumped off the fence. Everyone I talked too had nothing but good things to say about this product and the company behind it. The thing that really pushed me off the fence was their warranty policy. I couldn't find any other company out there who was willing to stand behind their rangefinders after 2 years.

Ive been waiting to hear reports on this rangefinder. Any idea if it will range rocks/tress at 900+?

Bowelkdown has one & is testing it out but I doubt it will hit a deer at a 1000yds! No rangefinders do that say a 1000yds that are reflective! I'd be happy with 600 hundred! (grin) I will say it is awesome, I had a chance to check them out this afternoon! I want one!! (grin)

Thanks for the response, I was hoping this would range hillsides etc at 800-900 yards. If anyone that has one can test it out it would be appreciated. I really want a ranger but if it wont range that far I might have to pass

To answer the question about a hillside at 8-900 yards being ranged, I tried and no luck with that. On all rangefinders, the published range is for highly reflective items.

I wouldnt pass on picking up a set just because of that though. They really are a nice set of rangefinders and the Vortex warranty and customer service is second to none!

Find someone that has ordered a set and try them before ruling them out.
