Unit 13 Wyoming??

Postby Stick » 05 23, 2015 •  [Post 1]

Going to hunt archery in Wyoming this year. Leaving next Thursday to go out and move my camper from Colorado up to Wyoming. Can't wait to be out there! :D . Does anyone have any general info about unit 13? Gonna spend a few days scouting? Looked at unit 102 and 94 also. What kinda elk numbers? What kinda bull quality? I've done all the online statistic studies but nothing like hunter info. Thanks

For area 13 - Since residents can buy general licenses OTC and due to the close proximity to Laramie/Cheyenne, all of those general areas in the Medicine Bow National Forest area get hit pretty hard during both archery and rifle seasons. There are elk there, but if you're looking for a 340+ bull, your best bet is to look elsewhere. Also, found out the hard way during archery season that horse trail riders like to use the trails/campsites between the Hog Park Reservoir and WY-70.

Can't answer any questions about 94 & 102.
