Colorado GMU 681?

Has anyone hunted Colorado GMU 681? Not looking for any secret spots just general info on the unit and any hunt stories that can be useful! Thanks everyone and good luck in tthe fall!

Im from Idaho, I was stationed in Hawaii for three years, then here at FT Carson. I was med boarded and decided to buy a house here. I have hunted twice here unit 76 and units 36,37,361 (right were they all meet OTC Bull tag), I havested my first big game animal in 361I took a 6x6 bull. I was a guest last year and am now trying to find my own unit were I can create my own tradition of hunting each year. Thanks for the reply!

Welcome aboard bud! Congrats on the bull too, very nice! Feel free to share a photo of it if you'd like! Just make sure it's sized to no more than 800 pixels! As far as units to consider Idaho has many that hold enough elk to hunt. I too am an Idahoan! I'm in the west central part of the state & you're further south of us. Pick a unit with semi open timber to thick timber & you'll be in some decent elk country! Are you wanting to bow hunt or rifle hunt? Are you looking to hunt CO & not Idaho or are you open?

I am origionally from Payette Idaho, I now live in Colorado so ill be hunting here. I want to get into archery but dont know when ill be able to get a bow so its rifle for now. Im addicted to elk hunting and love the hunt whether I get one or not its about the memories. If anyone doesnt have any one to hunt with join me this fall!
