I saw 8 elk at 60 yds today...

I went up to my OTC place today with a buddy. He is going to hunt my spots since I wont be there this year.
We hiked in and set up my ladder stand I stashed last November.
Found a new tree for it and cut some shooting lanes.
On the way out, we had 8 elk [cows,calves, 2 spikes] walk right in front of us at 60 yds [sorry no camera]
Also showed a few other area to hunt

Needless to say, my buddy is quite excited to hunt my spots in a few weeks...

Also put down a coyote at 250yds with a 25-06 - just doing my part...

He is a good friend. We have hunted together for several years.
He was with me when I shot my B & C Colorado moose in 2009
He hasnt harvested an elk with his bow yet. And it would be my luck he did it without me...
But he has taken a nice bear with his bow in Canada and a few turkey too
