Day 2.5

Covered a lot of ground and seeing very little sign. I have a huge section of wilderness area and very few hunters in here. I'm not hearing any bugles and have not had any responses to locating bugles. I've tried a few cold calling setups with my slip system but no action. I'm planning to hit some higher elevations this afternoon and see if they are hanging out up there. I'm very surprised, there was way more sign and I saw elk every day last year during 2nd rifle season. According to DOW, I should be right in the summer concentration area.
