Idaho Elk Super Hunt tag seeking unit advice

I have an idaho super tag for Elk and am seeking any assistance with a unit selection for my hunt. I have always hunted in the salmon area so I'm not as familiar with other units. I will be rifle hunting and can travel by boot, hoof or atv.

Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

Give me a minute to get ahold of a buddy and I'll get back to you on that. He killed a 380+ bull a couple years ago after passing up over 20 bulls. I'll find out what unit that was. NOT the Salmon area that's for sure.

OK a quick reply from him..... unit 11. The bull he killed was a HOG. It wasn't a tough hunt either. He said the only thing hard about killing a big bull was passing up the other ones.

Great tag..... I would be in unit 40 around south mountain or in 42 around juniper mountain, or unit 45 those would be my top 3, maybe 31 rifle or 18 archery also, all have great bulls,
