Badlands summit?

Is anyone actually using this pack?

I like the features but hear some negatives about bad lands in general. Since it replaced the 4500, which seems to get some good reviews I may try one?

Replacing the 4500 was a good move by Badlands, that thing was a p.o.s. Hopefully this one is better.

Really? wow. I can deal with the zippers breaking off. But when I sat down and leaned up against the tree and both polycarbonate frame stays snapped, I lost it. 5 miles deep, a heavy load and a broken internal frame is not a good thing. Badlands fixed and returned it quickly; that sucker went on Craigslist!
With that said, I actually like some of Badlands packs. Hopefully the Summit will be a winner.

I have heard stories of there stays breaking, not good!!! Too bad I can get a great buy on one, pretty tempting but most reviews of there packs are not favorable!

Huh... I never heard any of that but never researched the 4500. The 2200 has aluminum stays. One thing is for sure.. they do their best and take care of their customers.

Look at the Kuiu Icon 5200.
I went with that over the Badlands Summit or 4500.

Yep, the 2200 is great. That's what I'm sporting in my profile pic. Hauled a lot of meat with it, just isn't big enough for multiple days.
And I agree, customer service is outstanding with Badlands.

No doubt they aren't for the same purpose. If I wanted a pack that could carry as much as I could stuff in it I'd be going with my Barney's Freighter. Not cheap though. I spent 6 months or more waiting for one to show up in a classifieds section.

Badlands is a top notch company. I can't speak for the summit but the other badlands packs and gear I own is all great! The summit is next on my list

kuiu ultra and icon are high on my list!

I have the Ultra 6000. It's no Kifaru, but it's pretty good for the money
